Let’s get sendy! ⛷
How To Set Up Columns In Meta Ads Manager (aka FB Ads Manager)
Step 1: Navigate to ads manager
If you have trouble navigating to ads manager, you can find instructions in the Breaking Down Every Facebook Ad Tool post.
Step 2: Click on the Columns button next to the View Setup toggle
Step 3: Scroll to the bottom and click Customized Columns…
Step 4: Choose the metrics you would like to see in ads manager
Step 5: Check “Save as preset” in the bottom right corner, give your column setup a name, then click “Apply” to save the column
Simple as that!
How To Create Custom Metrics (Creating CVR and AOV)
The custom metrics we’re going to be creating in this example are conversion rate (CVR) and average order value (AOV).
Step 1: Navigate to ads manager
Step 2: Click on the Columns button next to the View Setup toggle
Step 3: Scroll to the bottom and click Customized Columns…
Step 4: Click “Create custom metric” in blue text
If you create a custom metric after choosing the metrics you would like to see in a column, it will reset your columns to the default column selection… making you start over again.
Step 5: Create the conversion rate (CVR) metric by aligning with this screenshot and click “create metric” to save:
Step 5: Create the Average Order Value (AOV) metric by aligning with this screenshot and click “create metric” to save:

Final Thoughts
Facebook has a ton of metrics to choose from when setting up a column. Ads manager also has preset columns that work great, but they fall short when you want to understand the whole customer journey.
The Ultimate column setup gives you a general understanding of the customer journey, starting with the first ad impressions to the final purchase.
If you have additional conversions you’re tracking like leads, subscriptions, etc., add them where you see fit! If you want to see more data around video or engagement, add those metrics or create another column.
There isn’t a perfect way to set up columns, and every person and wifi venture is different. Set them up in a way that makes sense to you and your wifi $ goals.
In the end, setting up your columns is to help your day-to-day workflow in ads manager. Set it up once and save it, then focus on making more of that sweet wifi $.
